Kids Haven is committed to maintaining robust governance and financial controls, ensuring transparency and accountability in all its operations. The board of directors meets every three months and volunteers their time to provide oversight and support for the operations team.

In addition to board meetings, the finance subcommittee meets monthly with the treasurer, and the HR subcommittee is convened monthly by the deputy chair. The childcare subcommittee operates under the oversight of Professor Sadiyya Haffejee, a volunteer board member at Kids Haven and an active researcher on children and youth at the Centre for Development in South Africa at the University of Johannesburg.

Kids Haven ensures that it undergoes a stringent annual audit and releases an annual impact report that includes the details of all activities and outcomes achieved.
