Employment Opportunity:  Childcare Worker – Permanent Position

Kids Haven is a child and youth care centre which provides residential care to more than 60 male children outside their family’s environment in accordance with a residential care programme suited for the children in the facility.

Kids Haven seeks to appoint a qualified male Childcare Worker to be based in Benoni, Gauteng.

Requirements:

• Preferably male
• Grade 12
• NQF level 4 in Child & Youth Care
• Must be able to commit to 48-hour live-in shifts.
• Current SACSSP registration.
• At least 1 -3 years’ experience in a residential Childcare Centre.
• Driver’s license an advantage
• Must be passionate about working with children in an NPO setting.

Responsibilities: Working in the life space of teenage boys.  Manage health and hygiene of Centre, provide daily care for children, manage homework, run developmental programs and implement Individual Development Plans.

Working hours:  48 hour shifts – 18 days leave per year.
