Kids Haven is grateful to have volunteer help but we have to manage the process very carefully to avoid disruption to our programmes.

We need adult volunteers in Benoni and in Bryanston.

We enjoy hosting Companies and businesses who want to visit and work at Kids Haven for a morning. 

We do not allow volunteers on Sundays.

Volunteer in Benoni

1. Homework help – we need reliable volunteers to help with homework one afternoon a week from 3pm – 5pm for one term.  There are no homework sessions on Fridays.
2. Helping with the donations we receive for the children – we need help to check donations like puzzles and games to make sure all the pieces are in the box.  This is possible anytime during the week.

Volunteer in Bryanston

1. Kids Haven hosts an annual golf day in October every year.  We need help to find prizes for our golfers through contacting past donors and finding new donors to support this event.  Volunteers work out of the Bryanston centre on this project from June until the day in October.

2. Many fundraising ideas and activities work collectively to keep Kids Haven thriving.  We need volunteers who can help with donor research, database management and especially to generate new ideas – join us on a regular basis once a week.

3. Help at book fairs and sales – usually on Saturdays.

Company Impact Days and Mandela Day

Company Impact days and Employee Volunteering – Kids Haven welcomes company volunteer days and employee volunteering.  We have ideas to get the best out of your days and we are always open to hear your ideas.  There are many ways to interact with the children and to help us with improving the environment for the children.  Contact Susan at sued@kidshaven.co.za
